Objective

France-IX offers training sessions on BGP protocol basics to help your network team getting started with peering implementation and management.

This training is intended to last 2 days slit into a theoretical presentation and practical workshops performed on a virtual production environment.

Reminders, getting started and starting configuration
Reminder on IP networks and routing protocols. Setting up your first BGP session configurations. We also cover filtering and BGP sessions in FULL Table.
Public addressing, communities, route-map and IPv6
Presentation and implementation of more advanced filtering principles (communities, route-map). You will also discover how IPv6 works.
Solving asymmetry problems
Dialogue BGP, OSPF, eBGP, TP IPv6
Presentation of solutions to asymmetric routing, BGP, OSPF and eBGP dialogue issues. Implementation of IPv6.

Have basic knowledge of IP networks and basic understanding of Linux commands.

Slides with notes section and certificate of attendance.
