We cooperate, in the service of a better Internet.
In 2021, the France-IX and Rezopole Internet exchange points merged.
The goal was crystal clear: to secure the future of exchange communities, those that mesh the territory and make our decentralised Internet a robust, high-performing system.
But a merger makes us number one in the market, and makes us look like a player drifting away from its values, playing the concentration game.
And that is not our vision of the Internet. France-IX is a neutral player, and our role is to bring networks together.
In recent years, we have multiplied our services to bring this high-performing, reliable interconnection to new markets (after all, businesses deserve such a service too!).
We have started partnerships with French hosting providers to offer robust, high-performing access to sovereign French or European clouds. We have already announced Scaleway, and others are coming in 2026.
And we have always kept the core of our business in sight: the IXP, for Internet players.
But the message got lost. So we are going to say it, loud and clear, in 2026. And we are going to show it.
This is no longer the same story. We are not the kind of IXP that attacks others. We cooperate, in the service of a better Internet.
In 2026, we are putting into production a large cooperation programme with our European counterparts. We are already interconnected with TOP-IX Consortium and LU-CIX, and we announced together, on the same stage, our cooperation agreement with ESpanix.
The service: linking French cities to other European cities to build, together, a more robust, higher-performing network: fewer hops, more performance, more robustness. It creates a real European alternative through cooperation between our communities.
In 2026, we are also rebuilding ties with our national counterparts, so that we help one another build, together, a more robust Internet and the remarkable mesh we know how to operate.
The way we do things, cooperation, is essential. But that is not all that matters.
In 2026, we are also rethinking peering. We have made it accessible to businesses with our new interconnection services. We are continuing, and going further. We are making peering more accessible by extending the service geographically, and we keep going further.
In 2026, we are opening peering to new players and uses, by launching a new LAN: a no-frills basic offer and a 100% digital customer experience to make peering accessible to as many as possible.
In 2025, France-IX and I learnt to tame each other, and we pivoted. In 2026, we are accelerating and sharing the results of these first projects.
What all this says about us: we try to be as useful as possible to the ecosystem, to Europe, to those who still believe a digital infrastructure can be neutral, open and cooperative.
