Peering Essentiel is an infrastructure fully independent from Peering Plus. For the 50 Peering Essentiel pioneers: activation fees waived, and recurring fees waived as long as the Peering Essentiel LAN stays below 100 Gbps of traffic, and at minimum until end of September 2026. An opportunity to add a second independent infrastructure alongside your Peering Plus, with no immediate additional cost.

You connect your router at the datacenter of your choice, and reach the entire France-IX community through a single physical port and our RPKI ROV route servers with IRR filtering.
The Multipass service, included in Peering Plus, lets you extend this coverage without additional hardware: with a single connection in one city, you reach our PoPs across France. Your peers can therefore reach you from any of our 22 PoPs, and vice versa.
The port is sized to your needs across 11 tiers, from 200 Mbps to 400 Gbps. Your solutions engineer supports you in sizing and remains your dedicated contact. Peering Plus relies on an infrastructure independent from Peering Essentiel: distinct hardware, separate OS, no shared network component. France-IX is the only French IXP offering two independent peering platforms: for mission-critical organizations, running both services in parallel delivers maximum resilience.
