Today, France-IX is launching Peering Essentiel. A second peering platform, completely independent of the first. 2 infrastructures, 0 shared point of failure.
For almost 16 years, France-IX has operated a single peering platform, and we are proud of our 99.998% availability.
We could have carried on like that, but we decided to go further.
Until today, peering with France-IX relied on a single infrastructure: robust, redundant, monitored 24/7 and operated in 22 data centres.
But a single platform, no matter how many redundant cores it has, no matter its availability rate (99.998%, did I mention that?), is still a single platform.
Peering Essentiel is a second infrastructure, based on distinct hardware and software, sealed off from our existing infrastructure and hosted at the heart of the French Internet: at Telehouse 2 in Paris.
Focused on local peering, with 100% online subscription and support, and prices around 40% lower than Peering Plus.
For customers already connected to Peering Plus, it is the ideal combination: two independent platforms, a single point of contact, stronger resilience with no added complexity.
This offer also provides a more accessible way into the France-IX ecosystem.
Pre-sales are open now, exclusively for our existing customers. Open to all on 15 June. If you are interested, now is the time to send us a DM!
