What if you saw the network… from a packet’s point of view?

Discover Packet Runner, our mini-game that playfully illustrates the journey of a data packet across the network.

Use your keyboard’s arrow keys, dodge the obstacles and stay on the right track!

Your goal: go as fast as possible, without packet loss, in search of the best route across the Internet.

Of course, the game deliberately simplifies and caricatures reality. Its purpose is above all educational. In the real world, Internet connectivity relies on a complementary combination:

  • peering for optimised, high-performance routes to the most important destinations;
  • transit to guarantee universal access to the whole Internet.

At France-IX, we are convinced that the right network strategy rests on the balance between the two.
