AI is revolutionising the world… but at what cost? Behind every AI model query, there are gigantic data centres running 24/7. AI requires enormous computing power, and therefore much more energy.
Today, you cannot talk about data centres without talking about AI. Soaring consumption and a growing environmental impact, but also data centre optimisation (maintenance, cooling…). The subject remains complex and plays out mostly over the long term. As network infrastructures, we are part of the materiality of digital technology. That is why data centres must adapt to current demands and technological needs, both new ones, and therefore construction, and existing ones, which must stay as close as possible to users and therefore be maintained to meet requirements.
The real challenge today: finding the balance that best supports the conditions for a desirable world.
