Last Thursday, France-IX took over the chair of the Think & Do Tank Infralliance following its General Assembly. France-IX thus succeeds Terralpha.

It is therefore a good opportunity to look back at the priorities for 2026.

What is Infralliance? It is the association that brings together French and European players around the joint construction of European digital sovereignty, built in particular on infrastructure.

The main priorities for 2026 are as follows:

1. Raising awareness of European alternative solutions

Infrastructure operators with sovereign solutions do exist. They are solid, competitive and deserve to be better known.

The aim is therefore to give these solutions more visibility and to spark interest in them.

2. Following the Buy European Act

This initiative could profoundly transform public digital procurement in Europe. We will be there to follow its implementation and its impact.

3. Collecting and promoting successful migrations to sovereign solutions

Documenting migration processes is one of the big topics for reassuring organisations considering this move. Because nothing is more convincing than a real case. By highlighting the organisations that have chosen sovereign solutions, we will be able to reassure companies and also show how serious and high-performing this approach is.

On France-IX’s side, in the same spirit, we have started selecting sovereign cloud partners to enrich our interconnection ecosystem.

We have thus established a partnership with Scaleway, and several others will follow.

Because the goal of digital sovereignty is to build sovereign alternatives, on a European scale, so that we no longer suffer the dependencies we know.
