A CSR approach that stops at the company’s doors is pointless. That is why, at France-IX, our CSR requirements apply internally as well as to our suppliers and partners.

CSR starts with looking after our teams on health, wellbeing and equal opportunities. That means training, team-building highlights, and also weekly sports sessions run during break times by our sportiest employees for their colleagues.

The environment is not neglected either, with measures taken in that direction. The aim here is not to spell out everything that has been put in place, but to convey the values that characterise France-IX: trust, adaptability and cooperation.

But what is most often forgotten is that a CSR approach does not stop at the company. The whole value chain is at stake, including our suppliers.

Building a sovereign and resilient network depends on choices of infrastructure and partners. And those choices have environmental and social consequences that we cannot ignore.

So we select our data centre partners not only on their business performance, but also on their energy efficiency and social responsibility.

As a member of the United Nations Global Compact, France-IX has chosen to build its ten universal principles into its governance. A decision-making framework that applies to every choice, every partnership and every hire.

A responsible value chain is only as strong as its weakest link. France-IX was built by a community, for a community. Our CSR approach follows the same logic: what we build internally and with our partners must benefit the ecosystem as a whole.
