Team building events are essential at France-IX. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels at its place, while promoting a healthy and festive working atmosphere.

📅Every quarter, a meeting is scheduled to bring everyone together to review the annual situation and strategy. This meeting also allows each department to discuss its progress. Everyone can ask questions about the company in general. These meetings ensure that everyone has the same level of information.

🥐Every Thursday, breakfast is offered in the cafeteria.

Lunch breaks are also an opportunity to chat, share good recipes, play table football or even enjoy some outdoor exercise.

👥A highlight teambuilding is organised annually, usually in March/April, to bring the teams together for a convivial and festive evening, followed by a meal at a restaurant. The teams have already enjoyed experiences such as an escape game at the Musée d'Orsay, a blind test, karaoke, and inter-team mini-games.

✨Every year in June, a seminar is organised over several days. During this seminar, teams gather in an exceptional location to combine work sessions on specific topics with team-building activities, including sports and cultural events.

🎅To end the year on a high note, France-IX Christmas celebrations take place in magnificent venues that combine Christmas magic with a warm atmosphere. Every year in December, teams gather for a delicious, exceptional meal and exchange small gifts thanks to Secret Santa. This event is also an opportunity for France-IX to spoil its employees with an extra gift.

Together for health

Physical and mental health are key priorities at France-IX. Specific measures are in place to combat sedentary lifestyles among employees and ensure a healthy mental state within the company and its various teams.

🏋️Muscle-building classes are offered every Thursday before lunch! It's an opportunity to build muscle and stay in shape, with a great playlist. The class usually takes place at Parc Monceau, but when the weather isn't cooperating, the teams adapt and stay in the offices. It's not about high performance, so all levels are welcome.

🏃At France-IX, we have a few runners who enjoy running along the banks of the Seine, come rain or shine, wind or snow. Whatever your level, you are welcome to join us!

🧠Managers from each department and members of the CSE (Social and Economic Committee) receive annual training on mental health through Premiers Secours en Santé Mentale (First Aid for Mental Health). Employee awareness campaigns are also carried out regularly, particularly during annual seminars, with workshops, videos, FAQs, and more.

🩸Blood donations are organised internally on a regular basis. Groups are formed with volunteers to visit a French blood donation centre. Everyone is free to come and donate blood, platelets or plasma.

🫀First aid responders have been appointed internally and trained in first aid procedures to be applied to any victim in the event of an accident at work. These first aid responders are also trained in occupational risk prevention at France-IX. In addition, training on defibrillators and fire prevention is also provided at regular intervals to prevent these risky situations.

Sustainability: acting at our level

Environmental responsibility is practised internally and in our choice of infrastructure.

Our internal actions:

  • Quarterly CSR week.
  • Small things: waste sorting, reducing printing, energy management.
  • Symbols: charity runs for environmental or social causes (e.g. Run For Planet, Odyssea).

Our impactful responsibility:

  • Responsible purchasing: priority given to European sovereignty and suppliers who meet our CSR criteria.
  • Energy-efficient infrastructure: selection of energy-efficient, sustainable equipment and reuse strategies (donations or recycling). Through its 2024-2025 investment plan, France-IX has doubled the lifespan of its network equipment.
  • Thoughtful location: choice of high-performance (optimised PUE) and socially responsible data centres. Example: our offices in Telehouse 2 (Paris) have a rooftop garden shared with local residents.

There is still a long way to go, and France-IX continues to invest in establishing its CSR strategy. For example, with the DECODES project, selected by the ANR and coordinated by Afnic, alongside Télécom SudParis and École des Ponts ParisTech, we want to focus on the issue of energy consumption by DNS services. At France-IX, we will bring our vision as an infrastructure operator to the project, complementing the research with concrete observations from our network. Our conviction is simple: understand, measure and optimise, to make digital infrastructures more efficient and effective. In short, participate in doing good, and doing it well. With DECODES, this also applies to DNS.
