This year, more than 160 attendees registered to France-IX Annual Meeting on September 29. The agenda got richer and broader to cover France-IX marketplace opportunities, network traffic intelligence, Internet in 2020, Marseille’s evolving role in global interconnectivity, perspectives of Google Global Network, evolution of the data interconnection market in France, future of peering, NIS Directive, status of peering in London and Turin and finally, digital transformation in France.

Meet the new France-IX Board
Meet the new France-IX Board  
With a voter turnout of 37.4%, the 2016-17 accounts were validated (92 votes yes, 0 vote no, 21 abstentions) and four board members were elected on September 29. Here are the newly elected board members:

Proud to present the first France-IX annual report

The General Meeting gave us the opportunity to reveal exclusively the first France-IX annual report since its creation. This report summarizes France-IX commercial and technical highlights, as well as its financial results.

Thanks to a simple and airy layout, we hope you will enjoy reading it. Please note that for its first launch, it is only available in English and a bilingual version is planned for the future.

France-IX extends its reach in Europe thanks to ENTER

From 16 cities in 11 countries and with more than 30 PoPs, ENTER can now connect networks to France-IX Paris.

Established in 1996, Enter is a leading ISP focused on providing network connectivity, cloud and datacenter solutions throughout Europe, the U.S. and Asia-Pacific. ENTER IP backbone spans Europe’s largest PoPs (Milan, Rome, Palermo, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Stockholm, Vienna, Prague, and Budapest) as well as the U.S. (New York, Miami and Los Angeles) and far East (Hong Kong) to serve companies in Europe, North America and APAC.

In addition to offering Ethernet services, VPNs, Internet access, and dark fiber in Europe, ENTER operates two data centers in Milan and one in Turin. In 2012, ENTER developed Enter Cloud Suite, the first European, OpenStack-based cloud IaaS service. Enter Cloud Suite is available in Milan, Frankfurt and Amsterdam, and is one of the official cloud platforms of European institutions.
