Over the past few weeks, several maintenances were conducted following the action plan released mid-October :
- Filtering allowing only one MAC address per member have been generalized to every member.
- On TelecityGroup Courbevoie PoP, the Force10 E1200 equipment which was limited in terms of layer-2 filtering, has been replaced by a Force10 S4810 and a Juniper EX2200.
- On the PoPs in Paris, all Brocade equipment has been upgraded with the latest stable software version, upon the recommendation of the equipment vendor: 5.400e. The last equipment of this series will be upgraded on Tuesday 3rd of December on the PoP in Marseille.
- Force10 S4810 equipment has also been upgraded with the software version FTOS-SE-220.127.116.11
The next step consists in renewing the core network. This will ensure homogeneity of the equipment in terms of functionalities (VPLS, layer-2 protection and so on...) and will enable us to deploy 100Gbps capacities.
Beginning of December, the new architecture’s requirements will be sent to the vendors capable of meeting them. The roll-out is planned for the second quarter of 2014 after the validation of the interoperability with the existing equipment.
